G8 Innovation Conference
We were honoured to have been selected to deliver this high profile event after a competitive tender process. This premier event consisted of a half day conference at The Crystal London for over 250 international and UK companies, the day began with high profile speakers and an inspirational armchair Q & A discussion with Sir Richard Branson. This was followed by a plenary session with presentations from high profile speakers Rt Hon David Cameron, Thomas Heatherwick, Ron Dennis, Daphne Koller and Zaha Hadid and the event was moderated by David Rowan, Editor Wired.
A series of site visits in the afternoon to centres of excellence around London was organised to see/hear about innovation/research. The day concluded with an evening business networking reception at the Royal Academy of Arts.
From the initial brief Bracken were responsible for Branding, technical support including stage management and live streaming, delegate management, client and venue liaison, press management, security logistics, liaison with sponsors McLaren and TSB and all on site logistics transport and management
With all the branding in place onsite, the venue was transformed and we achieved a wow factor.
We developed a concept for an ‘Information Centre’, which displayed relevant information that participants could download on their phones using QR codes.

The technical specification for the event was extremely complex. Seamless Audio Visual support was an absolute must with so many high profile speakers, and the requirement for the event to be streamed live over the Internet. We had the very best technical crew, an experienced Showcaller and Stage Manager to ensure that it all ran without a glitch.
We staffed the alphabetised registration desks throughout the event, ensured that all event spaces were set up, catering was ready for breakfast, lunch and all breaks and that is was cleared etc, managed all roving mic sessions, provided a VIP host for the Green Room, ensured that the Press Desk was managed at all times, liaised with the onsite security, managed all technical requirements to ensure that all event expectations were met.
In the afternoon, we provided hosts to attend each of the site visit locations. While most of the Bracken onsite team were on the site visits, a separate team left to set up at the Royal Academy of Arts ready to greet the visitors for the evening business networking reception.
